Contacts

Hi,

I’m trying to access my contacts on my deskphone. The are shown in the 3CX App and on the web client but not on my phone.

Sadly I’m unable to find a solution anywhere. I’m running the latest firmware.

Are you using personal contacts, how did you add the in the web client , 3cx app.

Only 3cx contacts are display on the phone

By going to Contacts -> All -> Add

Personal contacts do not get synchronized on the desk phones.

The deskphones only see the main Company Contacts, and the internal extensions in their phonebook - nothing else beyond that.

Personal contacts are only available through the 3CX apps.

Thanks für your reply but shouldn't this be a feature? I don't want anyone to have access to my contacts but Im also extremely lazy and don't want to enter every number myself.

Hi Jan,

I think it was never planned to be a feature, the phones were always provisioned with the company contacts only.
The provisioning system does not generate customized phonebooks for each extension, it is just a shared general phonebook that all the phones have access to. Each phone brand would need its own separate custom phonebook implementation, and this might not be possible across the board for all the models we currently support.

Plus, all the 3CX clients already have a personal phonebook implemented, so there isn't much incentive to venture in that direction I would think..
