CP-7821 template

Hi, how can I connect my Cisco CP-7821 phone to 3cx? There is no template for that. May be there is no direct solution for it, but how can I do it with alternate variants?

Hi Fuad,

Unless you want to write a custom template for this phone it will be a manual setup only.

Just go into the web interface and add the extension details and address of 3CX (if you are local of course) for remote/cloud instance setup there will be a little extra configuration.

The problem is, there is no web interface for cp-7821

That's crazy! are you sure ? if you check your DHCP server it must pickup an IP address ?
I have only ever used Cisco 504G's and they have web interfaces.

I guess the reason for this must be because these are designed to be controlled by their UC product in that case.

Failing that there must be a way then to input these parameters onto the screen of the Cisco - look for "account settings" or something like that.

Yeap, I know l) we are using spa 303, spa504g, CP 7821, CP6941 and some others.. spa series works with 3cx just perfect (and as u mentioned they have a web interface and you can control it). The CP series haven't got a web interface and there is no template option in 3cx admin center (there is cp79x1 but not 7821).

Hi Fuad,

Try to add it as a 7941. Open 3CX, take the MAC of your 7821, and follow to this guide:
https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/cisco-7940g-7960g/

As I know the config files for 7941 and 7821 looks very similar, so you have a chance to provision your 7821 as a 7941.
