I'm just looking for support setting this up. Simple situation, I believe.

Basically we have a DID#, lets call 001, and a second DID#, say 002. The default Outbound Caller ID is 001. The 002 DID has custom office hours set, and if a call comes in not during office hours, the call is forwarded to an external number. Works fine, no problems. However when this occurs I would like the caller ID to appear as 002, rather than 001.

I am very much new to 3cx and am unsure how to accomplish this. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Perhaps though dummy extension set-up for routing certain hours), with an outside caller ID data-filled. May requre a change to where call Id is taken from , in the trunk group, which may affect other calls. You'd have to test thoroughly.

Did you set the " Default Outbound Caller ID" with Caller ID 001 in trunk callerID item?
10502

If that's what you've done, then let this field blank in Trunk settings and set each DID number in each extensions in General , Outbound Caller ID
10501

Other way even if you send nothing from 3cx settings , can be your sip provider send your 001 DID (if it's head line number) on all outbound calls, so check if you can manage this on your trunk provider side.
