CRM & Custom Application Integration

Great job with v15, it looks promising. The blog/change log seems to address many issues or places that had room for improvement. We are currently running v14.5 Pro, upgraded from v12.

The blog post about v15 Alpha mentions "Powerful scripting module – easily build CRM integrations, call scripts". The change log for v15 says "Ability to download and provision integration CRM Plugins". Can anyone speak about the CRM integration, scripting and API functions of v15?

I wouldn't mind helping alpha/beta test v15 and helping with development in the CRM integration area, if needed. If anyone cares, we are running the open source SuiteCRM, which is a fork of the abandoned free version of SugarCRM.

Yes - now with v15, old fashioned plugins are replaced with modern lightweight scripts which can be done in a day or 2 by a junior developer. So you can make your own plugins, upload them to the 3CX Management console and select which extensions should use this plugin..

We are going to release forms and information about this.. But basically if you want to start something, go ahead. look for crm integrations that have a web service api (REST or POST) and simple or OAUTH authentication methods.

We will be releasing also sample projects including source code so you practically can see a solution and simply replace the API links with the one you want to support.

The most powerful thing in all this is that you can also do this for other customers.. in case they need to integrate with a crm software..
