I'm using the (My)SQL CRM integration to synchronize contacts between an ERP and 3CX.
But contacts are only imported to 3CX once they call in.

Is there any way to import all contacts from the SQL DB?
My users would like to find all contacts via 3CX to call them, not just ones who already called in.

You can export your contacts to CSV, and then import all of them from the 3CX Console:
https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/pbx-crm-integration/#h.aorc059zoz8b

However, please note that these will be marked as "3CX" Contacts and not "CRM" contacts. If you use Call Journaling as well, this will not be a good option, because you will start getting duplicated contacts.

@edossantos unfortunately that's not a viable option since CSV import has to be done manually.
My users want to find contacts from the CRM system through the 3CX app, and CRM contacts include mobile phone numbers which may not call in at all but must be used for outgoing calls.

I was hoping 3CX would have the capability to schedule imports from SQL since there already are placeholders for variables in the query. So the only things we'd have to do is create a cronjob and run the query with wildcards so all contacts are returned from SQL (or regex the last where clause away).

Doing a scheduled import over-night would be sufficient so that servers don't get stressed during peak load times, it's just annoying for users having to constantly copy&paste phone numbers into the web client from external programs or having to launch external programs to find contacts.

I understand you concern. Unfortunately this is not possible at the moment.

Hi,

We would like to import the contacts automatically as well, so we hope that you come to a solution quickly.

Until then we try to import the contact manually, but we run into the problem that it seems maximized to 500 contacts each upload. This means we need to import more than 20 files each time which is not very nice.

If we import a file twice, the contacts of that file are twice in the phonebook, which means that if we want to keep it clean we need to delete and restart. Also this means that we cannot do an initial upload and after that send updated records, since that will also create double contact records.

If you could remove the limit of 500 contacts, that would solve on already a lot, since we could then each time delete all and import.

Best regards and thank in advance,
Freek
