Hi togehter,

in the 3CX Webclient we can choose the smartphone app to have the cti functionality to make calls
by the smartphone app. Why don´t we have this also at the Windows Deskopt client?!
It is very disturbing to have function in webclient and desktop client not!

For other reasons like DATEV we need the Desktop client and from the 3cx support
we know that the 3CX Windows desktop client will further developed.

So could we have this also in the desktop client?

thanks & regards,
beon

Hi @beon,

The Windows Client does have CTI functionality, simply click the telephone icon:

Hi Vasilis,

yea but not for the smartphone app. The Webclient have this, thats the problem

Hi @beon,

Thank you for clearing that up. You're correct that it works in the Web Client and not the Windows Client, I'd suggest using the Web Client for this purpose.

Hi @VasilisV_3CX,

as i said, we need here the dektop client because we have also a DATEV connection. And as i also said it is frustating to have this function only there and that function only there. Its confusing and unprofessional!

Hi @beon,

I didn't forget that you needed DATEV, however the Windows client uses CTI (where the Windows Client communicates with the phone), while the WebClient uses UACSTA (where the PBX communicates with the phone), which operate slightly differently. Due to these differences, it is not possible to use the Windows Client to control the mobile device. I hope this explanation clears this up.
