Hello,
Does anyone have a list of functions supported by CTI vs uaCSTA?

Some legacy phones only support uaCSTA but not CTI and I need to compile a list of functions that will not work as a resut.

Thanks in advance!

Sometimes you can add those phones UA to the CSTA list parameter.

CTI is technically older tech, and works only locally via direct API calls from a softphone to the device.

uaCSTA works much more completely because it uses XML requests/responses between the PBX itself and the device, through the already-in-place SIP registration.

I know that CTI on 3CX works only using the legacy Windows client and is very limited in terms of functionality. AnswerCall doesn't even work with all the phones.

Thank you ConceptsWeb, this is helpful. As more and more clients adopt the DesktopApp (instead of the WindowsApp), a list of functions supported by uaCSTA is going to become more relevant so I'm hoping somewhere a list exists of what can be done.
