Ctrl+I in Chat has a unanticipated effect

Hi,
If you type some text in the chat, then you select a word, and then press Ctrl+I, the text appears in Italic, but when you send the message, the word in italic disappears...

It could be because tags are being stripped. It's not a WYSIWYG editor so..it makes sense I believe

Yeah, but I think it should'nt accept tags in the first place if it can't support it...
I wish that Chat was a bit more "professional" tool: we use it in a business context (and we'd like to use it more in the current situation), but if it can't support basic styling or either displaying images, it's less usefull than traditional messaging app.
