Custom domain

Currently we have an older Cisco phone central and are looking to deploy 3CX instead of it.

I already upgraded the free version to Pro in the portal before doing anything else (it now shows Edition: Professional), but when I choose On-premise, after it will still ask me to choose a 3cx domain where I can't pick custom.

Anything I'm doing wrong?

Its been about a year since I last did it. I think the custom domain/FQDN choice is done during the installation of the OS. But its been way too long and might have changed since I last did it.

What we learnt during our install was to use the 3cx domain because then the certificates are automatically configured, renewed and if you are running deskphones they will trust the 3cx certificates out of the box.
