Hi All
We have a functioning 3CX running in our private cloud with user registrations via our custom FQDN. All works 100%. I want to create a failover server in our other private cloud (they can see each other via their private (different subnets) as well as via their public IP's (these public IP's belong to us as via AfriNIC)

My question is, to create a license for the failover server the FQDN needs to be exactly the same as the primary server and the licensing you have to stipulate the FQDN. Is this correct?
In other words, my primary server is s1.example.com and I have a FQDN that points to 1.2.3.4
The new failover server has the FQDN generated via 3CX Lets Encrypt and point to s2.example.3cx.com. To get this working will I need to purchase a Prof/Ent license for the same FQDN of s1.example.com?
I have read through the documentation etc and no mention on the licensing setup apart from for failover Prof/Ent license is required?

I understand that as its a custom FQDN, we will have to manage the DNS change if the primary goes down, but I just dont know how to get the license as these are based on FQDN's and it seems I need 2 licenses for the same FQDN??

Thanks

Purchase Ent license, which allows the license to be used on two servers - as one will only be active at one time.

If you have Pro, you would need two pro licenses.

Thanks Saqqara I will get the Ent license as its cheaper than 2 Pro's :)
