We have a ISDN line into our office it have 15 lines
With have 50 DDI numbers on the ISDN line

Now when I set up the new version of the PBX to start with we did not setup the DDI’s
So, it was set up that during office hours and out of office hours all calls would go to a “Ring Group” this worked fine.

Then to continue the testing I added a few DDI’s to the PBX

And when I ring the main number it call goes to the “Ring Group”, but when I ring one of the DDI’s it still goes to the “Ring Group”

When I look at the Server Activity Log I can see the call coming from our Patton box clearly to the Extension attached to the DDI number. But then it’s grabbed by a “Inbound office hours rule” and diverted to a “Ring Group”. There are no office rules setup for this extension number.

Log snippet shown below.

What should I be looking for to stop this override?

Thanks,

Martin

I will assume you mean DiD (Direct inward Dial) phone numbers. The important point, and I cant tell from you small log entry is that your provider has to pass that DiD along to you. Some providers may give you multiple phone numbers but not pass the information to you. Other providers may only be giving you a partial phone number like the last 4 digits, or the phone number without the area code. You need to look at your logs and see what phone number is being passed to you.
