Debian 9 cannot see DHCP server or connect to 3cx during setup

Hi

I am having issues installing 3cx from the debian ISO on Dell T320 server running Hyper-V

The Dell server has all latest updates and runs a couple of Windows VM's without issues.

During the install I get an error about it not being able to locate a DHCP server. I can manually configure it to compete the install but it fails to install 3cs because it cannot connect to the 3cx servers.

When I am in Debian I can ping local and internet IP addresses and we urls so I am not sure what is wrong

I have already successfully installed 3cs this way on another Dell t320 and did not have a problem

which network adapter type do you configure for the VM?

Hi Stefan, its the default Network Adaptor, it is not legacy,

thats the right one, then only wireshark will tell if you see the DHCP answers...

Just realsised it might be because my firewall was blocking downloads, I have added
activation.3cx.com and downloads.3cx.com/* is there anything else I need to add for Debian?
