DECT which brand to choose

Salve a tutti ho una domanda nella scelta dell'impanto dect. Siccome spesso negli aggiornamenti varie funzionalità possono venire a meno, vedi esempio gigaset n870 pro non funziona la chiamata dal client dalla V18 se non usi la versione legacy.

Is there no guaranteed compatibility list?

Or a certified brand?

If I had sold a system with the 870 IP Pro for a year now I would already have to tell the customer that it does not support some functions which is not pleasant.

Hi @Alle CTEC please note that we can only advise for the recommended devices listed here

The limitation for the Gigaset are listed in their provisioning guide, this should have been taken in consideration before buying that device.

Ok but what is this list updated on?

For example, the Snom M300, how do I know how long they will be supported?

Please note that the Phone manufacturer is the one moving the devices to End of Life and not 3CX, also their are the responsible for firmware and template development, not 3CX.

Preferred brands are the one that work hand in hand with us.

basically I see that snom and fanvil currently do not have products with limitations so for a dect system the best choice is SNOM rather than GIGASET which only has products with limitations?

I would like to add some more details along with what my colleague Alejandro answered:

- In V18 you can select smartphone from the drop down menu in the 3CX dialler and you will have the ability to use the MakeCall function. Limitations apply regardless of DECT model or brand, just like in the legacy client when using CTI mode, which falls back to MakeCall mode. Give it a try and see if this helps.
