Just clarification question regarding 3cx-free (V20) hosted version.
  • Is that hosted pbx IP address static or it may change after some time interval.
  • Is that ip address sharable to another user or dedicated to one person (using 3cx free version)
  • The reason for that is SIP trunk on my DID provider based on IP authentication is ok to use or it is not advisable if same IP address share by other user on same host machine.
  • I want to Bring Anveo direct IP authentication sip trunk which is only IP based authentication and not supporting SIP registration.
  • For outgoing through ip based authentication lead me in trouble. if white list this IP for anveo outbound trunk for this IP if it is shared by other than all call can go through my anveo account for other hosted people on same machine.
So all these items will be fixed if somebody confirm the IP address of (free 3cx) sharable with other user or dedicated to one user one static ip address.

Thanks

With the 3cx SMB, the IP is one for all users hosted on the same machine, the same as it is for the FQDN.

There are no IP-based authentication trunk capabilities on these systems; only the available trunks that you see listed can be added; there are no generic trunks, and there is no possibility of adding one that is not already listed.

The IP is shared as Free/SMB/StartUP is a cloud-based multi tenant instance. Also, it is not fixed and may change if the host VM crashes and 3CX does a migration.

AFAIK, IP-based trunks are NOT supported in SMB. Nor can you use any unsupported trunks or generic trunks. Only preferred and supported ones are available.

Ok, thanks for clarity, then i will avoid IP based authentication & focus only on SIP based registration. even if some provider support standard sip registration like sipsorcery, anveo retail, Bulkvs. those are not in approved list but support normal sip registration. then i am not able to configure them with 3cx free (v:20)?
is this guide obsolete https://www.anveo.com/faq.asp?code=sip_3cx

If the provider is not listed in the drop-down of the 3CX SMB Trunk list after choosing the country, then you can not add it.

is software not allowed us to override? like choose calcentric then software put callcentric credential. then we can override host id, user name, authentication id, password etc?

The 3cx apps require a 3cx phone system to provision to; you can not add provider settings directly into them.

@guru2gr8 The list of supported SIP trunks is at https://www.3cx.com/partners/sip-trunks/.

Partway down each page you will see a note like:
"Supported (Dedicated Servers Only)
Supported Providers (Dedicated Servers only) are tested against 3CX Hosted and on-premise installations. Not compatible with 3CX FREE/SMB...."

So you need a SIP provider from the Preferred or Supported list at the top of the page.
