Is there any way to set my 3CX so that all internal (extension to extension) calls are treated as intercom calls?

We use our desk phones as an intercom system. Currently, I have the BLFs on each phone configured as speed dials with *7xxx as the number (xxx=extension). It works, but it's a hassle to setup compared to just picking the extension for the BLF. I was hoping there might be some clever way to have all internal calls prepend the *7.

If your phones have an internal, configurable, dialplan, that could be written to prefix all dialled extension numbers.

Thanks. That got me headed in the correct direction. I added

<=*7>xxx

to the top of the dial plan so that any 3 digit number will be pre-pended with *7. I also had to uncheck Multi-Purpose Keys (MPK) from the "Bypass Dial Plan" option in my phones. Now I can have BLFs that make an intercom call when selected! Hurray! I even got the added benefit of getting the extension status on the BLF LED on the phone.

However, when I re-provision the phone, it resets the dial plan. Can you nudge me in the right direction to add this dial plan to phone templates? Is there a master template file somewhere?

This is really fantastic progress. I really appreciate the help.

Okay. I should have at least bothered to look in settings and I would have already found the answer to this. I did find the template for all phones in the Templates section of Settings. Duh.

One follow-up, still- Is there a way to set the dial plan for softphones and the iOS and Android apps?

Unfortunately, no. Mobile apps and Webclient dialplans can't be changed.

Thanks for the help, everyone!
