Hello all. I have had some issues lately on multiple systems. Not sure it is because of an upgrade or something else. If a user doesn't set their voicemail then it uses the default voicemail message. The default voicemail message states to press * at the end to contact someone but when they press it then it just sits there. I have solved this by changing the user voicemail as they complain about it if they don't set their own.
1. Is this a change from an upgrade that is causing this?
2. How do I set * to do something in a user voicemail?
3. Is there a way to set the default voicemail for the entire phone server so every user uses that one instead of the canned default one until they set their VM message?

1. No, probably the user was deleted or is misconfigured.
2. System > Voicemail > Operator ("Calls transferred from voicemail are routed to"), that's where you set the * destination. You can also disable it, which will remove it from the prompt as well.
3. Yes and no. You would need to change the prompts in the prompt set (after making a copy), and then set that new promptset for every user.
