We are looking for a solution with Win 10. We would strongly prefer to create a new extension for each workstation. Ideally, the desktop app can do nothing when a call comes in. We only want to use the app for chat. Thanks

I assume you meant to write: We would strongly prefer NOT to create a new extension for each workstation as if you would prefer to, nothing is stopping you from doing so.

We do not want to make a new extension for every workstation.

Other then the suggestions that 3CX gave here: https://www.3cx.com/community/threa...ng-popup-on-incoming-calls.112825/post-521202 (same thread you linked), I don't know of anything built into 3CX today to accomplish your goals.

You could write an app to monitor active apps and close them when detected and use that maybe.
