This guide will walk you through the steps to create and configure Deutsche Telekom (CompanyFlex) SIP Trunk with 3CX.

Take note of the below special configuration requirements for Deutsche Telecom (CompanyFlex):
  • Not compatible with Hosted by 3CX.
  • Enter the main trunk number as E164.
  • You can register your CompanyFlex SIP trunk via TCP with a Deutsche Telekom internet connection. If so, select the “Deutsche Telekom (CompanyFlex - VoiceData)” template from the providers' list.

Read the guide.

Thanks for this guide. It does and will help a lot in the future

"TLS currently does not work as 3CX and Deutsche Telekom TLS implementations are not compatible"
This sounds like a big issue for Cloud Hosted 3CX Systems. Are there plans to make it compatible?

DT for CompanyFlex requires a very specific implementation for TLS which we currently don't have a plan to implement (they're the only provider we have so far that requires it), but we will consider this in the future if we see more providers have this requirement.

For the time being, you need to have the PBX on a DT Internet Line in order for it to work, because this way SIP over TLS is not required.

I dont think that other providers will implement those 3GPP headers and other specials like DT. Because it's weird (my opinion).

But without TLS support for CompanyFlex Cloud Hosting and Hosted by 3CX is dead (or expensive -> encryption SBCs) for Germany. DT has a market share of 40% in Germany. So i hope that this is enough to implement this.

Our customers also need the option of using the companyflex trunk from the data center (without a DT connection).

Hi!

This is not yet possible for the same reason I explained here: https://www.3cx.com/community/threa...configuration-guide-germany.81619/post-377193
Hi Nick,

is there any new information about the integration of TLS as it is implemented by Deutsche Telekom? We recently had a 5 day land line outage which is equal to no internet and no phone (with 3CX). This means that the pressure to switch to a cloud-based installation of 3CX combined with SIP trunks provided by Deutsche Telekom is constantly increasing for us.

Unfortunately, our local server is down since yesterday evening due to a hardware defect. Instead of switching to the cloud, we will probably have to fix it.

Alternatively, I am considering switching to a product other than 3CX. I can´t believe that this is in 3CX's interest combined with 3CX´s efforts to migrate customers to cloud based solutions.

In addition, shouldn't it also be possible for 3CX and Telekom to find a solution in direct dialogue with each other? After all, Telekom is still the largest provider in Germany and can therefore not be irrelevant from the perspective of 3CX for cloud based scenarios.

Unfortunately not yet, in order to implement what DT needs for TLS it would require extensive changes to our SIP Core which isn't a simple thing.

I don't blame you, but you clearly haven't had any experience discussing similar maters with Deutsche Telekom! xD
As a Partner of ours once said, they are masters at building special solutions that nobody else uses, which is also the case here.

Anyway, we have heard some rumors that they may at some point switch to a TLS solution/implementation that is more "broadly accepted". This hasn't happened yet, but we are monitoring the situation.
We would very much like to support this too and I assure you we will do so as soon as we can, no ETA though right now.

From the customer's point of view, to be honest, I don't feel that I'm being taken seriously.

And as Benedikt Machens wrote before, Telekom still has a market share of 40% in Germany. Actually, that should be enough to seriously work on a solution. It's a pity that this is obviously not the case with 3CX and that 3CX is more likely to rely on the hope that Telekom might change something.

As I said, it is in our sights and we are monitoring the situation, but currently our SIP Core can't do what they are asking, and actually there are quite a few PBXs that can't.

Most people resort to putting a custom SBC between their PBX and DT that they configure themselves.

40% of Germany uses it, probably more to be honest, but we also have to consider what 40% of Germany is compared to % of the whole world.
If possible, it will be done in the future.

For the time being there is nothing more to report on this.

Clear announcement. You should only do this nowadays if you want to get rid of customers.

Until a few minutes ago, I had no intention of looking at alternative products. Now I will for sure.
