I added an ATA with an analogue trunk. I am trying to dial *6 numbers (speed dials) but am unable to get it to work. Trunk works just fine for dialling the normal extensions 2xxx but the *6 speed dials does not work. I tried to change the system codes in "parameters" starting with * to # with no luck. Any ideas?

Do you mean a gateway, with an analogue trunk? Can you please clarify your setup.

Yes, a gateway with an analogue trunk.

So...you are trying to dial *6 numbers on a 3CX extension, and pass those same numbers out to the PSTN line?
If that is the case, then there may be an issue.
Many years ago i discovered that I was unable to pass either * or #, from 3CX, to an analogue gateway, as I recall the ASCII equivalent was being sent. Now, things may have changed since then, but, you might want to confirm, in the Activity Log, the actual characters being sent.

If this is not the issue, please provide more detail, on what you are attempting.

Also check the dial codes of the PBX you are using. If you have dial codes starting from *6XXX then the PBX will assume you are trying to use a dial code and never send the call to the gateway,
You can change the dial codes to something else that does not interfere and try again.
