Hello,
I have multiple busineses within our business that have their own individual DID inbounds. Our CFO asked if if was possible to have the incoming DID as the outbound DID for the extensions that are used on that aspect. I only have one trunk that is used for our main number. Do I just need to add the outbound Caller ID as the number of the incoming DID or need another trunk for each DID to call out using that number?

Just need to add the outbound Caller ID as the number of the incoming DID.

You can use outbound rules and prefixes as well.

DID numbers are only for inbound calls.
The only option it the outbound caller id in the outbound rules however this depends on whether your provider does support this functionality.

I have added the number in every which way to the outbound caller id but it still will display the main number when calling out.

As mentioned, your provider must allow you to send the DID numbers, and your outbound trunk parameters must be set to take the caller ID from the DID number you set in each extension. With some providers, if you have your "main" number set in their options (when you log into your account) with them, then that can override any number 3CX sends. You might want to check with them, to see if this is the case.

As a quick test, you might want to put a DID number it into the outbound rule, to see if it shows when making a call.
