Hi,

We purchase DID's from DIDx and Voxbone. But they don't provide us any authentication username or password. They give just the ip address.

In this case, how can I add these DID's into 3CX Phone system. Because To create a DID we should create a Voip provider in the system. WIthout the Username and Password we cannot create a provider. without the provider we cannot create a DID.

Can you please explain how can I add DID's to the system without authentication?

Because these are incoming only trunks there is no need to register or have a password/username. 3CX need to realise that calls from the providers IP are valid, and where, in the PBX , to send them, but that's it. Set the trunk to not require registration and you can put anything in the fields that require some sort of input but are not actually required for the service.

You need to supply them with your 3CX server IP address

You the need to setup a SIP trunk on your 3CX server (use the generic SIP trunk and not VoIP provider)

Please enter the SIP provider supplied IP address, enter any fake info in the user name and password and you are all set

By selecting Generic SIP trunk the system automatically selects that registration is NOT required for incoming/outgoing

Make sure that you don use this SIP trunk in any Outbound rule.
