I woild like to know the real diference between SPA-3000 SPA-3102???

The SPA3000 is a single port FXO, single port FXS device, and the predecessor to the SPA3102. The major difference between this unit and the SPA3102 is that the SPA3000 has no in-built router. As such, it is compulsory that you have a spare RJ-45 port on your network in order to use this device, it cannot be connected between a network port and a PC (unlike the SPA3102).

The SPA3102 also handles QOS if placed between the modem and LAN

That is very true. In my setup I did not wish to replace my existing router but being an older router, it did not have QoS. I switched the SPA3102 to bridge mode and connected it between my router and LAN switch with the QoS enabled. The difference was unbelievable.

Keep in mind that your ISP needs to support QoS and that your edge needs to support it aswell, otherwise it is of no use.

The 3102 is a better unit I also believe it has a bit more "grunt" but not sure about that.
