Different Audio for incoming calls and then hold music?

I'm trying to set up a system to where the phone will ring like normal, the usprogresstone.wav when a call is incoming, if answered and put on hold, plays different audio. Is there a way to do this? Basically I was an incoming queue that plays a tone for 30 seconds, if no answer, go to voicemail, if answer go to a different queue if placed on hold.

Hi, so you want a call queue where the caller is hold but listening a progress instead? You can use a different music on hold in the queue where you can set a progress tone instead of the global music on hold.

Then the destination if no answer you can set a voicemail.

I'd like it progress tone -> pickup -> they get in a conversation -> get placed on hold -> play hold music. I tried to set progress tone on "intro" but it was playing both hold music and progress tone when I did that

ok but what is the call flow?

because you can use a music on hold separately for each queue and then a global music on hold.

When you use the queue intro prompt by default it will play the music on hold in the background, this can not be changed, but as alternative you could use a fade in for the music on hold file or leave a blank space at the beginning for the music on hold. In that way when using the queue intro prompt, the intro is played and music on hold will not interfere.

Set the progress ring tone under the queues Music on hold section, not under the intro prompt.

Then, when the callers are waiting in the queue, they will hear the ringing. The main MOH will be played when calls are put on hold.

When I have no file attached in the MOH for the queue it will play correct global MOH music. If I have usprogresstone on the queue MOH it will play some generic default hold music

It seems I did indeed need to add it as play intro for usprogresstone and keep the queue MOH empty
