Different Ringtones for Internal & External Calls.

Hi All,

Is there a way for me to set different ringtones to differentiate internal & external calls?

If yes, how to do so? Im using v20, I've read through all posted threads but most of them are in v18.

This is what I see on my admin console below.


For now the ringtone is still the same for all calls. What are the settings I need to take a look ?

Btw, I have no call queue at the moment, just one Ring Group

The screenshot that i provided is from Version 20.0 Update 0 (Build 1494) this is why there is difference.
Now the Default Ringtone applies to internal calls and not for the external calls. If you are not using Queues the same external ringtone will be used.

So meaning that I must have a call queue to group all internal users together, then assign different Ringtone for each user?


I'm a little consufed about Ringtone vs Queue Ringtone, can I simply understand as (Ringtone = external call), (Queue Ringtone = Ringtone for call queue)?

Ringtone is only for internal calls between extensions. Queue ringtone can be set only one ringtone for all queue calls.

Oh, meaning that I have to change Ringtone for each user right?? This will apply to internal calls' Ringtone.

Queue Ringtone I can just ignore it since I don't have any call queue at the moment. Am I correct?
