Hello,
I'm french.
We have a 3cx v16. On one of our main telephone lines we have a digital receptionist with 3 choices. When the customer entered 1 to place an order, he should have a new digital receptionist to enter the first two digits of his department, then the call will be redirected to a dedicated operator. Has anyone successfully implemented this technique?
We had thought of filtering on the caller's number, but with mobile numbers and Internet boxes, it does not work.

Hello,

Are there more than 10 departements? You can send it to a new DR with more choices.

You can also look at using Call Flow Designer, we have a dedicated forum section for it in case you want to ask there too.

Thank you for your reply,

There are 97 departments in France

In this case, please create a new post in the below forum category for Call Flow Designer:

Alternatively a (simpler) solution is to ask the user to dial the department extension directly via message in your IVR. When the IVR waits for the user to "dial an option" you can actually dial an extension number and it will connect you to that extension. So if you want department with EXT20 for example, type 20 (instead of the usual IVR options 1,2,3,...0) and you will ring EXT20 straight from the IVR

Thank you for your alternative solution.

What is 3CX Call Flow Designer for?

In your IVR actions drop down list, there is an option for "Send Call To Call Flow Apps"

This enables you to use a custom call flow that you can design yourself using our CFD which can do various things that the PBX does not provide as direct built-in features:
https://www.3cx.com/phone-system/call-flow-designer/

Note: This requires a Pro or Enterprise level 3CX license

That's very good news. I will look at this very quickly. A big thank-you.
