Digital receptionist

Good day,
i have put Digital receptionist as welcome massage , but when i call the number it give me 3 rings then the Digital receptionist , why 3 rings cant we get directly the Digital receptionist ?

im using groundstream 4104 gateway

The gateway is the one that largely controls how many rings. It is a configurable item. It is usually defaulted to 3 or 4 rings so that it can have time to get the callerID from the carrier to pass on. Carriers vary so you may need to experiment some.

Get the manual from the Grandstream site and go in via the web interface and set accordingly to your desires. In my case, I get the ID between the 1st and 2nd ring.
