direct to voicemail key

We have a site that does not like having to dial *2* to directly transfer a call to voicemail. Has anyone been able to program a key that does this for them? If so what phones are you using?

I'm not familiar with *2*... *4 is the default DVM star code.

Using a prefix key for *2 on Yealink will only gain you a little as I think you still need to hit Transfer, then the BLF then the extension.

I could be mistaken.

Craig is right. If you just set up the prefix key they you have to hit a lot of keys to do the transfer. We have clients that want this and we have to either set up manually on the phone or create a custom template. Would love to see this added as an option for BLF configuration on the extension.
