Disable E-Mail Required for Users Free Version

Tried posting this question in the hosted section but it won't allow me to for some reason.

Using the free version, when adding users (such as in a home environment) how do you disable the email notifications as shown in the other guides to get rid of the email requirement for new users?

This is not possible with the SMB versions, as an email is required to receive the welcome email to log in to the extensions webclient and for other features that are set, such as receiving mail email notifications.
