Hi , We have been testing 3CX for a while and we have a real issue with the Webcam settings. 3CX seems to be able to override the Windows 10 settings even if the webcam is disabled fro all apps. I may for instance want to add video to a call to share my desktop, but I do not want my webcam on. There need to be an option in the soft phone config to disable or at least request access to the webcam. Does anyone have a workaround ? As it stand at the moment its a bit of a deal breaker.

Hello @Chris Bell

I understand what you mean however the client needs to have a camera to initiate a video call. If no camera is detected then the video call will not initiate. Once the call is initiated you can select video off and share your screen.
Alternatively you can post this as a feature on https://www.3cx.com/community/forums/3cx-ideas/ . All posts are reviewed by their corresponding Departments and, if feasible and voted for by other users as well, may be implemented in an upcoming service pack or update.

Hi , Thanks for you comment. However you can start a video call without a camera , I can and I do not have one , or are you saying at least one party needs one. Also if you setup a webmeeting and set video to off the browser still tries to access the camera. This is a privacy issue.
