does disabling "PBX Delivers Audio" mean direct media ( in asterisk terms... ) and is this specifically for on-prem PBX? I'm not familiar enough with 3CX under the hood to know how it would setup the call for direct media.
in a nutshell, I'm asking if in a cloud-hosted scenario phones behind NAT (a decent implementation of NAT...) can get direct RTP via the contact address thus taking the PBX out of the loop.
I'm not so concerned with the bandwidth usage, but I do have a few clients that are right on the border of comfortable latency at about 250ms. When I ping the provider IPs from the site I'm getting much better ~120ms latency. They are on some back-woods internet co-op that does have reliable service, but just doesn't peer with the right people for a low latency path to digital ocean, aws, or google.
