We are currently testing 3CX and CRM Integration works fine for incoming call.

BUT we are strongly missing the possibility to search for contacts stored in the CRM through the 3CX client for outgoing calls.
"Click to call" Browser extension is not a generally good solution for easy, spontaneous dialing. It´ll will always be more effort to use "Click to call" compared to just entering a name in the 3CX client.
Our users are familiar with Procall where data from a lot of sources can be searched with in the client.
Our 3cx partner recommended to import the complete database (>100.000 contacts) into the 3CX phonebook, but we dislike this idea.

This missing feature this seems to be a show stopper for us. Very bad, since the overall impression from 3CX is very positive.

Is there any chance that this missing feature will be available in the next future?
Or any workaround (beside click to call)?

Beside uploading all contacts to the phonebook, you might wanna try the Office 365 Shared Mailbox Contacts sync. If they use O365.

They could have their CRM sync with Outlook on a shared mailbox and then those contacts would appear in Company Phonebook on the Webclient, without having to import them.

Also, note that when using Click2Dial, the contact lookup is made during outgoing calls too, so the contact gets imported the first time, and then it's in the phonebook and will sync on every incoming/outgoing call.

Thanks, Frederick.
The remaining question ist: Is there any chance that this missing feature will be available in the next future?
