I learned something today that everyone else probably knows. We have 3cx connected to our Verizon Fios and Nexvortex is our VOIP provider. We have two POTS lines for our alarms and fax. I have a grandstream gateway connected to them and 3cx. everything works fantastic.
I set up my DR routes with the pots numbers.....Weeeel now that the landscapers have chopped the fiberoptic cable in two I have learned that Verizon abandoned the copper lines and actually runs the POTS lines out via the fiberoptic as well, my dumb self did not know that. A quick trip to the nexvortex site to change the DR routes to our cell phones and all is well.
Just a heads up in case there is anyone else that thought their pots lines were still on the copper.
