Add the ability for calls to different groups or queues to have different ring tones.

This can be achieved by selecting the ring type in the group or queue settings and then putting the sting in the alert-info header in the SIP invite. It is supported on most handsets (SNOM, yealink, Hanvil, Htek) and the provisioning templates could be modified to make it work seamlessly.

Doesn't look like it's hitting Update 6 so almost time to wish this happy birthday.
Almost older than my kid who's starting school soon.

This still shows as In Progress, yet was opened 4 years ago.

3CX do you have an update on this?

A simple 'Alert-Info ' box in the 'Ring Group Settings' page seems like a pretty solid solution.

Pretty much this, but it's sadly not "user friendly" as it means people need to manually login to their handsets and set the corresponding string/tone. Each queue and it's associated tone is cooked into the provisioning templates so no doubt they would get cleared on re-provision or overwritten if you add a new queue :(

Having a combined system for both will require a a bit more thought such as a settings page that allows you to create "tones" and then map RGs, IVRs, Queues etc to one of these and then select these on the handset page. It's probably going to be a bit of a faff now.

Gotta have this for Ring Groups...

definitely needed. ability to change for ring groups and also external calls for each extension. when there are several phones in one area there's no way to know which phone is ringing if the user isn't next to their phone.
