HI all,
Not sure if I am wrong here but I feel i need to ask the question.
The Setup is 3cx hosted cloud pbx, all clients (8) use the Chrone extension for telephony, another 8 use their iPhones connected to the WiFi.
I didnt deploy a SBC on site as I believe you don't need one for this type of scenario? am I wrong?
The issue: I have a ring group with 4 extensions (all iPhone users), but, the iPhones don't always ring that results in a lost call, the call doesnt rout to the next users or anything, just drops the call.
The main issue here is it is inconsistent, can go days with all working but then some days it will happen 3, 4 or 5 times in a row, then works for the next call.

In testing i added a single phone to the system, it rings every time, when i was testing i called from my iphone, saw the IP phone ringing but the users iPhone app had nothing at all, hung up and called again from my phone and the call started ringing on the app. Did this from another unrelated number and same thing, cal comes in, iPhone app does nothing but disconnect and call again the app rings.
Also i need to add, another customer is having the exact same issue and they do have a SBC in the lan and cloud PBX, i thnk the only thing the same is they both have a Draytek router, but all outgoing ports are open.

Any ideas at all here?

Hey there,
If you are only using the web client/mobile Apps there is no need for an SBC. If you want to have a physical IP phone then you should either get a router phone or an SBC. Since it is a small installation I would suggest a router phone. Regarding the behavior of the mobile apps it is really weird, ensure you are on the latest version of 3CX (apps and the PBX) and if the issue persists you can always open a support ticket!

Thanks Mira, thats what i thought, there are no physical phones, just web app and iPhones with the app.
I have placed a call but all resolutions didn't work.
I am going to swap out the Draytek and see what happens.
thans
Leo
