I have set my outbound caller ID in extension as 0300 but at called number the caller id is shown as +440300 or some other local number. I want the called number just see 0300 or any number I set in my extension OutBound callerID field.

The provider, at the receiving end, may be adding a prefix, which they may do to all, or certain numbers. If you are sending only a 4 digit number out to the public network, then it will not make sense to most called parties. You have no control over how the number is manipulated once you send it out.

Hello @Ever22

Please note that some providers send numbers always in a specific format so although they will send your Outbound caller id they will reformat it to a specific format, in your case E164. This is something that you cannot control through the PBX as it is provider specific.

Thanks for your reply. But earlier at called number it shows the same number sent through outbound caller id. Now its adding prefix +44. Well I got your point.

The first step is to contact the provider. Especially if there is a change in behaviour. Perhaps there is something in the format of the number that they do not like and we can change something in the PBX but the provider needs to let us know what is causing this.

Confirm in the Activity Log, what number you are sending out. Is it just the 4 digit number? Your provider is probably not not making any changes to it, it will probably be the called parties provider.
