What I'm trying to do is figure out a way to programmatically end calls at a certain time for certain extensions - basically I want to run a scheduled task that barges in to extensions 100-105 at 10:55 with an audio recording of "Warning: Phones will be disconnected in 5 minutes" and then another scheduled task at 11:00 that disconnects the active calls from those same extensions.
I tried to find a solution to this a year or two ago when we were running v15 but ended up going with a low-tech option of having staff unplug the DECT base for the cordless handsets at the desired time. We're now looking to implement this for a range of extensions not all coming off the same cordless base so my previous low tech solution won't work.
Our 3CX is Pro running v18 update 2 and I've seen bits and pieces about the new API but haven't found any real documentation. The barge in is secondary and we can just put a sign up if it's a hassle. If it's easier to do it in the Watchguard Firebox - we can do it there with statics/reservations for the phones, but so far we haven't gotten it to work for the firewall to drop the active connections - just prevent new connections. It's for a residential facility and there's a lights out time, but not all the residents adhere to the rules, so we need to prevent them from breaking the rules to keep our staff from having to track down every phone every night at lights out time.
