Hi;

My remote office is using site to site VPN to connect to HQ in N.America. Can I setup a desktop phone in remote site and let it connect to 3CX in HQ via site to site VPN ? If I can, what system requirement or prerequisite must need?

Also;

If I have a oversea office with their own 3CX system in network and they have their own PSTN provider, to bridge the 3CX system in N. America HQ and the 3CX system in oversea office, can I bridge it through the site to site VPN? Or it must be bridged with PSTN connection?

thx!

Using VPN is completely separate from 3CX. It is used by many users, and is a preferred method to using STUN when the server and devices are at different locations. Using VPN means that all the devices, are in essence, on the same network, so anything you can do if the server and phones were at the same physical location, you can do with VPN.

Hello @Kane Wong

If you have a VPN connection established between the 2 offices you can use that connection to provision phones to the PBX as local devices. You can also use the connection to bridge 2 3CX systems using their local IPs.
