We picked up a client a few months back and were hoping to take on their IT services as well, but due to other factors, they went with another provider on a temporary basis and will most like be moving across to us in a few month's time. However, we did deploy 3CX for them at the time, and all is working as expected the client is happy. The current provider deployed a 3CX app that looks like the image below. They currently refuse to install any other app and won't give the client admin credentials to install their own software so we are stuck like this for a while till we take control. I have no idea what app this is or where it came from so want to check if anyone has any ideas what it is.

This is a REALLY OLD version of 3CX Phone for Windows.

ok, thanks. I couldn't find a version number when I was in the client's office and had limited time and access to the machines. Good to know. The client is about to give the temp provider the boot, so hopefully, we will be in there soon to update this. Not even sure where they got hold of this version or why they installed it.

The Desktop App by default installs in AppData which is writable by the user by default.

The later Windows Client is considered "legacy" and untested going forward so kinda surprised the old one works.

@Dupablada Kind of surprise to see that familiar face again  It's our old Windows client, ver 6.0.26523, I think we've discontinued it in 2012 (min requirement Windows XP SP 4) It's a generic SIP phone, so you can use only this way, that means not with 3CX-related features (like chat).
