I want to delete and unactivated licence and re-use the FQDN for a different licence. Does deleting the licence in the portal immediately relese the FQDN for application to a different licence, or will it remain (for how long) indicated as 'already in use'?

Thanks, Alex

@alexgray yes if you delete the System form your portal ( dont delete your account ) then yes this will release your FQDN almost instantly ( needs a few seconds ).
What you may also do is to Stop your machine from Running and then release the FQDN.

With this way you may also use the same key later and assing a new FQDN.
Whatever is more convinient for you.

Hi @alexgray,

You can terminate your current instance and release your FQDN without deleting the whole license since you might need it in the future.

Please proceed with the below:

1) Login to your customer portal and on the Systems page select the license key you want to release the FQDN.
2) Stop the 3CX hosted system.

3) Once the 3CX hosted instance is stopped the 'disconnect' link will be present under FQDN field of your key.

4) Press the 'disconnect' link and a pop-up window will be displayed. Then click on the RELEASE button and your FQDN will be released from the current key.

Once this is done, your FQDN will be released immediately.

Hope that helps you out.
