Hello. I have sales on the road that use mobile. We have unlimited mobile to mobile. I was wondering if there is a solution that allows mobile users to call elastix at the office, and allow them to use office land line to call customers on land line? I assume we can setup gsm gateway? The problem is, the sales has the customer's phone numbers on the cellphone address book he/she is using.

jang,

Elastix & gsm work well together but if you just want your mobile user to just be able to call into Elastix and then dial back out on the Elastix landlines then set up a few DISA routes.

Take a look at "Product info", then select "Manuals/Books" and then "Ealstix Without Tears". Download and read that manual, there is a section on DISA and how it works. Setting up DISA is straight forward and will allow you to get that option going till you can get a gsm gateway or other method setup.

Hope this helps.

Yes, DISA will work. My next question is, when they use their phones to call office, they can't call the customer (who's on their phonebook) easily. Is there a way wherein they send an sms to elastix, and elastix calls them back with customer's number ringing already :D Or is this wishful thinking? Someone told me he uses a system like this, though not elastic.

jang,

On the SMS part I am unsure of. It will require those on here with more knowledgs of the SMS operations of things then me to respond to that one.
