door bell question

Hi, were about to switch across from an old NEC sv8100 to 3cx. What I'm wondering is I have 2 doorbells on one of our levels that when the button is pressed it rings an extension via an analogue line and then hangs up (this lets the secretaries know someone is on this level and needs to be let in).

I have a Grandstream HT814 and was wondering if the same can be achieved with 3cx?

Hello steinpag,

Try "Offhook Auto-dial" option under FXS ports on the HT814.

The doorphones for the SV8100 have a proprietary box that won't work with an ATA. You would need to get new doorbells.

EDIT: When we migrated our SV9100 I tested using the doorbells without the PGD box. It always left the ATA offhook. The PGD box acts as a relay that is needed for those doorphones.

Hi...I have remote entryway chime catches on front and back entryways. Worker for hire neglected to incorporate ordinary entryway chime 20 years prior. Have been utilizing a straightforward remote framework from Lowes for almost that long. One battery controlled toll with catches that have jumpers like those in the Motion Sensor. Distinctive ring for front and back entryway. No Insteon association. Ring batteries are D cells which keep going for a long time. Catch batteries are outside so they are just useful for a year or something like that. All things considered have a toll module on the main floor just as the cellar level utilizing similar catches.

The benefit is clearly no wires to pull in external dividers where protection may be upset. Drawback is batteries in the catches need supplanting. I've gotten prone to supplant my Dakota Alert transmitter batteries and entryway ringer button batteries around the beginning of winter. Guarantees batteries are crisp during the chilly climate.
