We've just bought a bunch of new v65s, a recommended by 3cx, supported router phone.
The phones come with a firmware that is later than the current 3cx supported firmware and we'd like to downgrade them to the 3cx supported version.
Due to the downgrade lock we're not able do the downgrade via the phone web interface so we've been tried to do it by booting the phones to post mode. Unfortunately that's still not working because of the downgrade lock.
We tried setting up a tftp server but that doesn't seem to be supported.
We also tried via usb but still now further forward.
So we hit a bit of a road block, or so we thought....
Randomly, whilst booting to post mode for the umpteenth time, the phone came up saying 'recovery mode'. We then connected to the phone via the web interface, again as we'd done many times before, but this time the web interface was different (a more sparse interface), and from there we were able to upload the 3cx supported firmware and complete the downgrade.
The problem is, how did we get into 'recovery mode', we simply don't know what we did differently!?
Just to prove we weren't going mad, here's a screen shot of the phone in recovery mode.

Any ideas?
