Hi

We have just recently installed a 3CX system (V18) at a care home using Yealink T46S & T41S phones. Unbeknown to us they have a gate entry system which calls the phones and they need DTMF to open the gates. Is there any way to set these phone to provide DTMF on an incoming call, looking through the phone settings I cant see a way.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks Mark

Hi Mark,

We don't offer any method where you can make the phone send DTMF.

The user has to dial it when they answer the phone.

Hi John

When you say they have to dial it, they used press a button on the keypad to open the door, at least that's what their old system did, is this what you mean?

Yes, and it should work out of the box with default settings in 3CX
Try calling 631-791-8378 and choose option 2 after the recording message test. Then press numbers. It will read back to you what numbers (DTMF) you send.

I meant they have to physically dial the digits on the Yealink keypad that the door expects.

You cannot set a single button which sends a string of DTMF digits via 3CX

The problem is the Yealink phones aren't giving DTMF on incoming calls, you get no tones when a button is pressed, I only get DTMF on outgoing calls.

This could be an issue with the doorphone. Since this is an unsupported doorphone, it probably does not support telephone-event. So when the call is established DTMF is not negotiated in the call setup and therefore the Yealink is not sending it. At least this is the most typically expected situation.
