Sorry if this is already in the forum, I couldn't locate anything recent that answered my questions.

I've had a request from a few users asking how they can edit scheduled video conferences in 3CX if they need to change the date or time to a later one, or if they've forgotten to clear the 'Meeting starts once Organiser joins' setting.
We handle the invitations through Outlook using the ICS file.

At the moment I've advised them to edit the invitation in Outlook and that the actual link should still work, but I'm seeking clarification on whether this is the best method.
They could always delete and recreate the meeting but that seems so unnecessary when historically it's been possible to edit a meeting. I say this because there's a thread from last year here https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/modification-of-scheduled-video-meeting.114204/#post-529014 that shows an edit button on the Legacy Windows Client, but that isn't visible to me when I look for it.
  1. Do meetings automatically get deleted from the Scheduled Conferences list after their due date?
  2. Do the links expire?
  3. Can we edit settings for an existing meeting once it has been created?
  4. Does the Start Date of a meeting in 3CX actually matter, except for it generating the "You have a meeting in an hour" email to the Organiser?
Many thanks for any assistance :)

Do meetings automatically get deleted from the Scheduled Conferences list after their due date?
They are hidden 2 days after their due date from the WebClient list.

Do the links expire?
All meetings are deleted 7 days after their due date.

Can we edit settings for an existing meeting once it has been created?
It's not possible to edit meetings via the webclient. You do have the capability to do so as an Admin via the Video Conferencing API though:

Does the Start Date of a meeting in 3CX actually matter, except for it generating the "You have a meeting in an hour" email to the Organiser?
It doesn't really matter beyond the "You have a meeting in 1 hour" & for us to be able to eventually hide & eventually delete any meetings once it's time to do so.

Thanks Leonidas, I appreciate the comprehensive and fast response.

It's annoying that they can't be edited in the web client, especially since you have the functionality available via the API.

I know it's not a massive deal for people to have to delete and recreate a meeting but combined with the inability to set defaults (such as disabling the 'Meeting starts once organiser joins' check box) it makes 3CX's video conference system less smooth of an experience for our users than Microsoft Teams, even ignoring Teams' better integration with Outlook.

I understand your need to be able to edit video conferences.

I would suggest making a similar thread in the WebClient section of this forum as any functions related to meeting creation are WebClient specific.
