Hi there,

I was doing some digging to see where the email template file locations were in linux. I assume they were something similar to the other template files on the system like /var/lib/3cxpbx/Instance1/Data/Http/Templates/phones/ but I was unable to locate them. I assume this means they are likely stored in the database, can anyone confirm this for me before I spend more time looking for them?

The templates are actually parameters, but what exactly are you trying to do, and what is the requirement?

Ah, guess that makes sense too. We use a customized template for all of our clients and I was hoping to be able to update them all without having to login to each management console and update them 1 by 1. I was thinking a script to ssh into each one and replace the template file on each box would be an easy fix, but of course it requires their be a file to easily overwrite/replace.

Well, actually, you will need to delete the custom email template from each system if the template was modified in a previous version and then updated to the latest. Once the old template is deleted, you can modify the current template from the management console > Settings > email template section.

To delete the custom email template, navigate to the management console > Settings > parameters and search for MAILTEMPLATE_EXTWELCOME_CUSTOM, then press the X on the left of the template.

Ah ok, all the templates were updated once updating to version 8. We held off on 7 until we had time to test the new reset link and make sure it was going to work with our email setup. Which is does, but we just needed to update a couple things in the template.

Oh well, looks like someone is going to get paid to manually update the templates on about a 100 PBX's.
