We are facing an issue since Microsoft deprecated basic authentication where we can’t use our office 365 account for email notification. We don’t want to use the 365 integration and just for notifications but getting timeout issues and was wondering if there is some setting we can use to get it back working? Thank you

Unfortunately not, there is nothing that we can do for you here except to advise you to use the SMTP with integration if you must use your own SMTP server. However, I can also advise using the 3cx SMTP which requires no integration or setup.

I would like to use office 365 but it’s timing out probably due to basic auth being disabled. Is there no way around this? Thank you

Integration is, clearly, the preferred way to handle this but, as of year ago (when I last looked at it), you could specify approved connectors in Exchange Online. This way you can (and we did) approve the IP address of your site so that 3CX could send through M365 without having to authenticate. Take a look at this link for what Microsoft has to say about using connectors.
