Good morning,
As some of you are aware, there was a massive series of storms that moved through several states on Friday...some of you might have heard of Mayfield, KY in the news...this is minutes from us. That said, there is a significant amount of damage here and our SIP trunk provider (Spectrum) is still working to repair the fiber that was damaged.

I am trying to figure out what our options are to get some temporary numbers and a SIP trunk from a different provider? I'm guessing that if I can get that setup, I would need to create specific outbound rules to use specific extensions with the new/temp trunk...is there anything else I need to take into consideration? It is imperative that we get some form of external calling setup, in addition to having 911 capabilities.

Thanks for any help/suggestions!

If your 3cx server can still get to the internet, Telnyx is very easy to spin up. Buy as many numbers as you need, configure the trunk, and then the inbound and outbound rules. Adjust as you find new emergent needs. Should be up and running in 30 minutes or less.

If your server can’t get to the internet and you have access to a system backup, spin up a new 3CX instance in lightsail from the backup. Then use cellular data (if you still have it) to connect the 3cx app to that server.
