Error restoring backup - Invalid Reply (OperatorExtension)

I am trying to restore a backup from a V20 system on a newly installed V20 system.
But I keep getting "Invalid Backup: Invalid Reply (OperatorExtension)".

What could cause this?

Is the previous V20 installation still up and running?
