Hi Community,
We are provisioning our first IP phone and struggling to configure because of Events ID 12291.
The error show below:

We’ve been struggling to provision this phone for the past few months. We upgraded to the 3CX SMB PRO plan, but it keeps blocking our IP address. After checking the forums, we learned that we needed to update the firmware, but it’s still not working after the update. Please help!

This is a Cloud HPBX(Hosted PBX).

The above message shows that the phone is either misconfigured or does not have the correct firmware. That would be the main reason why it blocks your IP. You have to add it again correctly as you see below, after the IP ban has been lifted (24H)

1. Factory reset the phone
2. Install the correct firmware v108.86.0.93 from here https://www.3cx.com/docs/phone-firmwares/
3. Delete the phone from your user and add it again fresh, ensuring that the model and MAC is 100% correct
4. When adding the phone you must choose "Connect Directly"

5. Once you are done, factory reset the device again, and wait. It will need some time to come online, provision and reboot automatically.

Make sure the phone is on wired LAN (not WiFi) and allow it 5 minutes to complete its own setup.
