Dear all,

I am struggling with the appropriate configuration of 3CX.

I have the following setup:

  1. Evon smart home
  2. 2n intercom with the camera
  3. 3cx free account
  4. SBC installed on Raspberry Pi.

What is currently working:

  1. When I someone rings my apartment in 2n intercom, I get a pop up on my mobile via Evon smarthome app with a picture. I can’t talk to the person on the other side – I figured that I need to setup smth to handle SIP.
  2. I’ve set up 3 accounts on 3cx.
    1. One account for my mobile (A); it logs in to 3CX system and is ‘green’
    2. One account for 2n intercom camera (B); I’ve set it up and it registers in 3CX (both when using the local IP address from the raspberry pi and when I use the registrar server as given by 3CX)
    3. One account for the Evon Smart home

I think the way it should work is that:

  1. When I get a pop up on my Evon smart home app and I press a ‘speak’ button, the button should call intercom’s SIP number and initiate a session
  2. I’ve added SIP number of the 2n intercom as the ‘dial’ number once the ‘speak’ button is pressed
  3. I’ve added 6c (Evon smart home) 3CX account details into Evon. Evon does not ‘register’ itself with 3CX (so I see that the third account is not registered with 3CX), but in my view, it should only register/authenticate when it needs to initiate SIP session to the intercom
  4. When I press the ‘speak’ button – it seems like Evon smarthome is trying to initiate the SIP session, but it always fails. It also does not seem to ‘register’ EVON smarthome as a device with 3CX
  5. When I initiate a call from the 2n intercom to my mobile (using 3CX app) all works well, so it seems like the traffic is going through.
  6. I’ve also amended the firewall in line with instructions of Evon.

I’ve tried various combinations of internal IP and 3CX servers as the PBX/registrars – no luck. What am I doing wrong? Would you be able to help me to troubleshoot? As you can most probably see – I’m rather new in the VoIP world and my aim is not to get fully comfortable with it, but to be able to be able to speak to 2n intercom via the EVON app and be able to open the door.

Any suggestions of troubleshooting or where the mistake is?
